The Nigerian Air force has thrown the family of an artiste Ifeanyi kalu into mourning. It was gathered that Ifeanyi was on his way to his workplace at Ilupeju before this incident happened.
His remains has been deposited at the Air force base. His death is said to be a big loss for his family, has his mother also died two months before.
An Actor known as Segun Adefile made it known that the artiste left behind six bereaved siblings and an aged father.
The deceased was said to be on his way to the new work he just secured at Temple schools Ilupeju before this unfortunate incident happened. The deceased was said to have been knocked down by the Air force vehicle on the Brt Lane. Adefila clarified that the deceased was hit between Obanikoro and Anthony end of Ikorodu road. He also said that companies who have cctv camera around can also confirm with their cctv footage.
Adefila said the Airforce later offered the family the sum of N200,000.
An eyewitness said it was the Air force vehicle that hit him, the force of the hit was what pushed him to the road where he was crushed by an incoming vehicle.
The Air force spokeman refuted this claim. According to the spokeman of the Air force, the deceased was about crossing the Brt lane when the Airforce vehicle suddenly stopped. Due to the shock from the sudden stop, the deceased was trying to turn back when he was hit by an incoming danfo. He also stated that they carried the victim because as a responsible organization that they are, the offered to help him and he died in their moturary.
The brother to the deceased however said he has prove of where the Air force sent message to them asking them what they want.
How else would the Airforce be offering them a compensation of N200,000 if they are not responsible for the incident.
